As revolutionary as Bill Bright’s original vision was to reach the world through the university campus, so the new Digital Media app* could have just as much potential to transform the world. Tens of millions of people in closed nations will be able to see and hear the gospel on their smartphones or video tablets in their heart language─no matter where they live or how dangerous it may be for Christians there. And people can link anyone to the app through Facebook, a blog or a Tweet with Twitter.
When told about this powerful tool, a pastor in East Asia eagerly planned to use it to reach foreign medical students studying in his city. He said the app could also help reach foreign businessmen from that same restricted country. Pastors, evangelists, missionaries and believers across the globe await this revolutionary platform to catapult their work of proclaiming Christ to a new level.
Want to help in this great innovation? We are close, but just lack the final funding. We need to fund Internet server farms, complete software refinement, and launch JESUS video segments in peoples’ heart languages to ensure this revolution will become a reality.
Check out a new website we launched for our 9-minute anime movie called, “My Last Day”! And don’t forget to share it with your friends, family, or church during Easter!
“Here is an infographic that I put together to show an overview report of how my team, Digital Media Distribution, did for 2011. These numbers are helpful to know (1) how many people are watching our films online like the JESUS film [every second, every day, every month, entire year of 2011], (2) the number of countries that people are visiting from, (3) and our goal for next year.”

Jim Green, our current executive director, recently introduced the next executive director of The JESUS Film Project, Erick Schenkel. Erick and his wife, Elizabeth, will be transitioning out of their current ministry responsibilities and returning to the United States in the coming months. They are expected to report in 2012.
Living in the West we may not see the full scope—the advance of the gospel that’s taken place…especially in Third World and developing countries.
It’s accelerated so much in the past 30 years that many feel fulfillment of the Great Commission is indeed in sight.
